It feels like it has been forever since I last updated this blog. I apologize for that. We had a really busy summer. We tried to get in as much sight seeing as we could and I ended up getting burned out. However, now that the kids are back in school I am starting to get my motivation back and I am looking forward to blogging again.
I wanted to share this simple but fun idea for school lunches. I saw a comment on one of my cousin's facebook pages. Her friend suggested putting character napkins in her son's lunches. I thought that was a fun idea and decided to buy some for my kids. Every time I go to the store I try to pick up a new set of napkins. I also put a sticker and love note in my daughter's lunches. Sometimes I will write a message on a treat wrapper in place of a love note. My daughter looks forward to seeing which napkin and sticker I put in her lunch. My son is too old and cool for the stickers and love notes but he loves the character napkins.

Great ideas! I write notes on my girls napkins and they look forward to them. I am going to try the stickers....never thought of that. Thanks for sharing!
Great idea! I put stickers on my son's sandwiches. I've noticed that he tends to eat all of his sandwich when he likes the stickers and less when he doesn't.
I have a big book of stickers so we only have repeats every 2 weeks. He loves it! And I love that he eats his sandwich!

I do the fun napkins and note thing, but this year I started putting in a simple kid joke...even one of the teachers commented about it to me. It's a real hit with the 1st/2nd grade set!

Wauw i like the napkins.
We write a note on edible paper ( i don't know how you call it) and sometimes i cut them in shapes ( a butterfly, a dinosaur etc.).
Sometimes i cut the sandwiches with a cookiecutter in shapes. The animals and planes and cars are favorite.
