When I was little my dad took me on a few daddy-daughter dates. I can still remember the flavors of ice cream I picked out and the movies we went to see. It meant so much to me to get that special one on one time with my dad. I was recently reminded of it when I found out my cousin and his wife celebrate their children each month on the same day as their birthday. We thought that was a great idea and have decided to start that tradition in our family. Geoff and I trade off every other month. For example I took Kaylee on her special day this month and Geoff took Kaden. Next month Geoff will take Kaylee and I will take Kaden. Our children talk about it all month long! It can be as simple as taking them to a park or out to get a dessert.
